All 19 of the unique and diverse land based projects there will be opening their gates for you to explore and enjoy all that is on offer. Meet the teams, join a workshop, site tour, enjoy a demonstration of skills. It is a free event but bring cash to buy refreshments, organic goods and/or art.

For those of you who don’t know, The Ecomusicology Project is a project situated on a BEAUTIFUL site up in Stanmer Park, and is an open inclusive space for ecomusical experimentation, education and interaction.  Ecomusicology is the convergence of music, culture, the environment and ecological awareness. Our project is based around creating a flexible, multi-use environment for workshops, exhibitions, performances and installations. The project is an initiative co-run by Lost Property Collective, The Rose Hill and Sound Art Brighton.

For the open day we will be running a full day of workshops, installations and live music performances, and have hot drinks and herbal teas available .

Line-up so far:

Foz Foster of the Slack City show 'Adrift' will be drifting around the site playing Musical Saws, Bells, Whistles, Whirlytubes, Bull-roarers, unusual stringed instruments and subtle electronics, expect ghostly drones and otherworldly sounds drifting through hidden spaces. Come and find him!

Luta - a live electronics set from Luke (Yellow Door) and Tao in the roundhouse.

Bunty + Jules Arthur ( Nimzo Studio)
A live trio between Bunty, Jules and the teeming lifeforms of TEP’s main pond.

Sound Art Brighton
Note: bring your own headphones for this!  SAB will scatter sounds throughout the Ecomusicology Project plot, accessible via QR codes and smartphones.
